For the unenlightened, Remixies IS the name of the album.

I took the liberty of downloading these albums a few days ago, and tried to keep an open mind. The end result of the open mind-keeping is my impression of Remixies. and the Dracula Perfect Selection.

Remixies is okay. For a dance beat album. Over on the Dungeon, I'm not trying to pick a fight, but the guy who wrote the review of this album seems to have been expecting another game-quality soundtrack, which resulted in him calling it "crap". It's actually not crap. It's a dance beat album, and the beats are well constructed. The best you can do is adknowledge that it is NOT a game soundtrack, at which point it becomes passable.

Still, with a title like "Remixies", you'd think very few reviewers would take it seriously.

As for the Dracula Perfect Selection, the star of this article/mini-review thing, it has a plum total of 3 songs with lyrics, and yes, they are SHAMEFULLY bad. It's as bad as you have heard, if not worse. Fortunately, there are 7 instrumental tracks with decent enough arrangements, although the rap version of Vampire Killer is something I'm oddly partial to.

The arranged tracks are:

Beginning (CVIII/Lyrics)

Mad Forest (CVIII)

Bloody Tears (CVII/Lyrics)

Clockwork (CVIII)

Flash Back (CVIII)

Demon Seed (CVIII)

Prelude (CVIII)

Vampire Killer (CV/ Lyrics)

Dwelling of Doom (CVII)

Voyager (CV)

It's kind of refreshing to see so many tracks from Dracula's Curse remixed, considering the last time I saw this concentration of songs from Castlevania III was Circle of the Moon's somewhat iffy soundtrack. Clockwork in particular sounds GREAT. Prelude hasn't been changed much, and Voyager has been nicely lengthened. The only generally horrible song is Bloody Tears, and the lyrics will make you cry exactly that. Don't get me wrong, all three lyricked songs are the ultimate voyage in a sea of cheese, but that's part of the album's offbeat charm.

If you can find the Perfect Selection by some act of God, buy it. Download the Remixies. It's okay, but nowhere NEAR good enough to buy. Of course, most of you will probably just download the Perfect Selection too. Oh well.

I use Remixies as background beats while doing stuff like my taxes and all.

I had the Perfect Selection a while back, but I seem to have lost it...

Of such great powers or beings there may be conceivably a survival... a survival of a hugely remote period when... consciousness was manifested, perhaps, in shapes and forms long since withdrawn before the tide of advancing humanity... forms of which poetry and legend alone have caught a flying memory and called them gods, monsters, mythical beings of all sorts and kinds...
