Man. THIS SUCKS.

Michael Turner, the man who's art GOT ME INTO COMIC BOOKS, is dead at age 37, from bone cancer complications. I always held him as THE BEST ARTIST ALIVE, even better than Ayami Kojima.

The man was amazing, with a superb mastery of lines and shapes, and he was almost entirely self-taught, having taken only a few art classes, like myself. He, like me, drew mostly for his own amusement, and he, like I one day hope to, turned THAT talent into his proffession, changing the way many looked at comic books.

His comic book gals were GORGEOUS, and his men were ALL THAT WAS MASCULINE AND BADASS.

If you have anything to say in memory of this brilliant artist, say it here.

HE'S DEAD?! O.M.G!

NO WAY! I always loved reading Fathom! Without Mike, that comic is just going to collapse! And what about his company? What'll happen to it? I can't believe this!

NO WAY!

I'm gonna miss that guy. He was so talented, and his women were so beautiful. His style was a standard in a way, the bar that had to be at least met.

I will always treasure his artwork.

HOLY SHIT NO!

Great. Now my source of bikini clad babes is cut off. That and I really admired the guy's success story.

Of such great powers or beings there may be conceivably a survival... a survival of a hugely remote period when... consciousness was manifested, perhaps, in shapes and forms long since withdrawn before the tide of advancing humanity... forms of which poetry and legend alone have caught a flying memory and called them gods, monsters, mythical beings of all sorts and kinds...

I will mourn his loss along with the rest of the artistic community.
