Order of Ecclesia, The Next Castlevania?

It’s no secret that Konami is working on a new DS installment in the fabled vampire-hunting Castlevania series. Series creator Koji “IGA” Igarashi said it himself in numerous interviews over the past year.

This brings us to the topic at hand. Recently, Konami filed a trademark registration for the mark “Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia” with the USPTO. Is this the title for the new DS Castlevania that Konami is working on? It’s a possibility. But another, perhaps more likely possibility, is that Order of Ecclesia is a sequel to last year’s mobile title, Castlevania: Order of Shadows.

Order of Shadows does not fit into the canon at all. Therefore, it's probably not a sequel. If it IS in fact a sequel, it must be better than the original.

I heard that it was supposed to be a complete do-over for Legends, where they re-did the game entirely, like fixing character designs and canon issues.

We need more female mains that don't FAIL in games that don't EPIC FAIL.

Hopefully, there will never be a sequel to OoS. Ever. In fact, they may as well just wipe all our memories of that game and start over.

So, by now we all know about these, right?

These were the leaked screenshots that apparently sent Konami into a panic and caused them to shut up about the new Castlevania game.

Well, now we have these!

This confirms that the leaked screen shots were in fact, real. Order of Ecclesia's character artwork seems to be pretty good after that horrid phase of Anime styled artwork. And look! A FEMALE LEAD!!
