first of yes i used tis on purpose not a typo
next IX while with cartoonish graphics was lets face it ff and thus at least by broodish us standards not kiddie graphics alone do not make something kiddie or not for instance dears perverted sick and twisted and that's just the teacher but full of oh so cute Chibis not a kids series by any stretch then theres what was mentioned on the VII vs VIII board about the citys getting wiped. out it's sorta like with the harry potter series okay admittedly that was tame to start but it got darker and darker to the point where some people refuse to read it for fear of depression or something like that but it still retains the label of a kiddie series my point is graphics alone and a tail don't make it kiddie and if you dislike it cause zidanes' species could be the sayans interdimensional counterparts so what dbz isn't exactly kiddie either |

The graphics were terrible, the music was so-so, the plot wasn't that good, and in the end the character design was just too cartoony to allow me to think of it as a depressing or broody game. I was too busy laughing my ass of every time Kuja showed up in all of his trans-sexual glory to pay attention to the brooding. Kiddy gets my vote. _________________ I am a warrior. Of such great powers or beings there may be conceivably a survival... a survival of a hugely remote period when... consciousness was manifested, perhaps, in shapes and forms long since withdrawn before the tide of advancing humanity... forms of which poetry and legend alone have caught a flying memory and called them gods, monsters, mythical beings of all sorts and kinds...

Anybody who can look past the aesthetics of IX would see that it isn't kiddie. If anyone here is a Zelda fan and has played Wind Waker, they would understand what I mean when I say that WW was dark with an extremely cartoony art style. The cartoonish graphics in WW hide a story that literally begins by telling of how a kingdom was abandoned by its hero and was wiped out because of it, and shortly after that your sister gets kidnapped on your birthday. IX is kind of like that, except the design isn't nearly as cartoonish as WW was. Similar to KH, IX is kid-friendly, not kiddie, the difference being that the former is something kids can enjoy as well as more mature audiences, while the latter being something that only kids can enjoy. _________________ You are food. I admit it was dark, but as I stated before, I was too busy laughing at the art style to notice the first time I played. _________________ I am a warrior. I fight for the Mother Moon, whose dark light shines a pale beauty upon our eternal land. Shine on Moon, and show your children the way...

Not kiddie AT ALL.
It was pretty emo by the end. _________________ When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

The Graphics were the only kiddie thing about it. _________________ "It is often stated that we must weigh the potential benefits and risks before we do something perceived as risky. Of course we must, but it is mathematically impossible to solve one equation with two unknowns. In the end, it all comes down to common sense, which varies among all of mankind, and is never foolproof. Let it be no other way, and let us rejoice for those who are brave and boldly step out into an uncertain future and let us pity, comfort, and then gently nudge in the right direction those who lack the bravery or ability to do so by themselves."

I've seen a bit of it, and it seemed at least slightly kiddie to me. _________________ "I must not fear. Fear is the Mind Killer. I will face my fear and let it pass through me, and when it is gone, only I will remain."

Zidane grabs Garnet's butt in one scene.

Kids do that all the time. It's perfectly kiddy in that sense. _________________ When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. You missed my point completely.
Yeah, Zidane's not a kid. But grabbing a girl's but is childish and kiddy behavior. _________________ When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. I don't know if it's kiddy, but I don't like Zidane. A real pervert if you ask me. I'd retcon him if I was [insert name of FF producer here]. I'd hunt him down and kill him if he was real.
The game was otherwise good. I still don't know if it was kiddy. |
